When my niece Dakota was very little, she contracted RSV and fought so hard just to breathe. Sitting on my lap with her nebulizer, I read story after story to her — each one a lifeline of comfort and calm.
My Backyard is a tribute to Dakota, to her father Danny (who left us way too soon), and to every child who needs a little light in the dark.
